Hello All,

I'm a newbie. I recently purchased a Level 4 license. It was shipped
and I installed it. Now another version has come out. If I install
the new version will it erase my license information? I'm still new to
it so I'm unsure if it will "upgrade" the OS without losing this type
of information. If not what is the best way to upgrade?

Albert,
It should not lose anything and your config should stay. Note that I
say *should*. You need to make sure that you back everything up.

Upgrading is an easy process and is as simple as ftping to the Mikrotik
box the packages you have on your box and rebooting.

But I suggest you read the manual and figure this out first and then ask
questions if you have any. Upgrading is fairly straight forward (even
though I always forget what to do every time I do it ;) )

It makes no difference if you choose a "clean install" or keep the
current configuration - your licence will still be kept on the hard
drive.
